No Deal: Buy.com Lexmark X6675 Printer $85.99

Did we mention we hate Lexmark?

They hate the customer, so really there is no reason to ever purchase a Lexmark product. They have been the most litigious printer manufacturer  in the industry, and cartridges for their printers can be confusing as they also operate a return program for their cartridges:

*Non-refillable cartridge licensed for single use only. Return empty cartridge only to Lexmark for remanufacturing, refilling or recycling. A variable amount of ink remains when this cartridge must be replaced. Replacement cartridges (36XLA) sold without those terms are available through http://www.lexmark.com.

Lexmark, and Dell printers are never a good choice. Cartridge availability is limited, and they are expensive. Remanufactured cartridges are available, but Lexmark makes the cartridges hard to re-build/refill by design.  They also prefer to remanufacture their own cartridge?  Wait, I thought rebuilt and re-inked cartridges were bad?

That being said, look at this money pit of a deal:

Yawn.  This printer is a money pit.  Just look at all the “cartridge options”:

Thanks, But No Thanks:

thumbs-downConsidering that more ink cartridges will run you $41.99 for color, and $33.59 for a black cartridge?! That is $75.58 for 2 cartridges!?! I think we will pass.  If you need an all-in-one wireless printer, there are much better choices from HP, Epson, Brother, or Canon (basically anoyone else).  Please, save your sanity and your wallet by avoiding Lexmark at all costs.  A very big NO DEAL!
